He’s My Everything!

Great Morning Everyone! Jesus truly is my everything! He is paving a way for me that is greater than I could have ever imagined.  That being said, I am so excited to share this video with you all! It was not only my pleasure to work with some of my Lush Varsity sisters, but to also work with the awesome Joe Mettle and his team. I thank him for allowing me to share my gift through his video. I pray it speaks to your heart and makes you get up and dance! Enjoy!

Anything Worth Having…

Yeah, we all know how that saying goes, “Anything worth having is worth fighting for.” But honestly, how often do we actually live by this principle. I find so many times in my life, I had gotten frustrated because something I wanted or was working for took “too long” to come to pass or never did. The sad reality of it all was that yeah, I knew what I wanted, but I wasn’t willing to work for it. So then I pose the question, why are we too lazy to work for what we want? I have a theory, I believe that first, we naturally lean towards self-preservation. We want to conserve our energy (sleep), or preserve our brain power (not put too much thought in), or just plain old don’t want to suffer for it (we don’t want to sacrifice anything).  This is just something that is ingrained inside of us. Second, I believe that we are just fearful of what the journey to what we want may look like. However, even with all of that being true, we have more than enough willpower to fight against those natural inclinations and do what needs to be done, to achieve what we want to achieve in life.

The power to get past “yourself” and do what needs to be done is your willpower, also known as your mind. God so lovingly created man in His image and likeness, which means if God created all that exists then we can create as well. We have the ability to create using our thoughts and our words. This is why we must remain attentive and aware of what we think and say on a daily basis. If you think thoughts of failure, laziness, unworthiness, etc. then all that will come to you are the consequences of those thoughts. This includes missed opportunities, failures that lead to guilt and depression, and you put yourself in situations to be treated as less than what you are actually worth. Now, if replace those thoughts with thoughts of success, love, joy, and steadfastness, then we will be able to experience the fruit of those thoughts. Some of the fruit being actual successes, valuable lessons learned from your “failures”, your courage to take opportunities presented to you, and experiencing joy and love beyond your wildest dreams because you are open to receiving it.  If we want to live an abundant life, let’s first make sure our minds are renewed and that we have the right perspective when it comes to ourselves and life in general.

Proverbs237.png

The Bible makes it very clear in Proverb 23:7 that what you think about yourself is what you become or what manifests in your life. Renewing your mind with the Word of God will teach you or remind you of how much God loves you, how much He cares for you, that He desires that you prosper in life as your soul prospers, how He tells us to live for our benefit and His glory, and the fact that He has destined you to fulfill a divine purpose on this earth. When you have all of that truth in your mind and allow it to penetrate your heart and believe in your heart that all is true, which it is, YOU BECOME UNSTOPPABLE.  With that being said, I encourage all of you to evaluate how you think. Here are some helpful questions to ask yourself:

  1. Do I see myself the way God sees me?
  2. Do I talk/ think negatively about myself?
  3. Do I truly love myself?
  4. Do I talk/ think negatively about my life? life in general?
  5. Do I know who God has created me to be?
  6. Do I know why God has placed me on this earth?
  7. Do I talk/think negatively about others?

After looking at the answers to these questions, see where you need to change your thinking. Once you change your thinking, you change your heart, which changes your actions and changes your life! Anything worth having IS worth fighting for. Fight for your freedom, fight for your joy, fight for your God-given destiny, fight for the abundant life God has purposed you to live. YOU CAN DO IT, you just first have to learn to control the thoughts that dominate your mind.

Happy  Tuesday Everyone!

It’s A New Season

So excited for this new season I’m walking into. In a thankful state of mind recommitting to give 100% to everything I do, knowing the reward at the end will be great. I am also making sure my priorities are in order, so I can get as much out of this season that I possibly can.

I encourage everyone walking into a new season to walk into it grateful and focused. Stay attentive to how long the season is, who you need beside you in this season, how God wants you to move through this season, and what you need to learn from this season. Get excited! God has some amazing things in store for us this season! Amen!
