“Love yourself enough to set boundaries. Your time and energy are precious. You get to choose how you use it. You teach people how to treat you by deciding what you will and won’t accept.”
~Anna Taylor
Loving yourself does not mean hating others or being mean to others. It simply means that you have learned to have balance in life. It means that you have taken the time to understand your worth and now are functioning with that knowledge. You have also taken the time to decide what life you want to live and know that you don’t have to settle for less than that. This is also not based on the fact that you are better than anyone but simply because you’re worth it. Loving yourself now frees you to love others genuinely without damaging yourself. Today, choose to love yourself. Today, choose to love yourself so you can be free to genuinely love others. Today, choose to love yourself because you’re worth it!
I am on this journey to fully grow out my hair natural and so far it’s been great! I am obviously understanding that there are days when my hair just wants to do its own thing and I am okay with that (lol). However, I must attribute the nice curl pattern in this picture to my Cantu Leave-in Conditioning Cream. I am still trying out products to see what will work best but so far I’ve found Cantu to work great with my hair! I just simply add it to my hair while wet with an essential oil for added moisture and BOOM! After about 15-20 minutes my curls are tight, defined, and shining! It gives me a great wash-and-go! Click the link below to try it for yourself. I’ll also add a link for their leave in conditioner with argan oil that I use as well. If any of you have any other useful tips/suggestions please feel free to leave them in the comments below. Let’s all help each other because I am just getting started!
I saw this post on Instagram and it really just struck a nerve. I took a second to think back over my life and all I prayed for until this point. My conclusion was that I am glad that I didn’t all of the things that I prayed for right when I prayed for them. I am thankful for being brought through a process that then prepared me for the thing I so desired. God, our loving Father, doesn’t want to harm us because He loves us so much. That love is the love that does what is necessary even at the risk of us not understanding the reasons why. That love holds on even when we go astray just because we didn’t what we wanted when we wanted it. That love has shaped me into the woman I am today. Today I am strong, today I am increasing my discipline more and more each day, today I am committed, and today I am better than I was yesterday. I just wanted to take this time to openly reflect with you all on life and it’s overall beauty. I just want to thank God for all I have and all I went through to get to this point. I am striving towards fully walking in who God has created me to be and every step closer I get, the more grateful I am.
I remember hearing Apostle Johnny Ova saying that a blessing before it’s time can destroy you rather than be a blessing to you. Remember to trust the process, everything has it’s time!
Alright, it’s time to touch on a topic that most people would prefer to avoid but it is the cause of a lot of problems as well as a solution to them. Let’s talk about how we take care of our bodies. Here on Freedom Unveiled, I want you to not only further your understanding of the things of God, but I want you to also understand how to take care of the temple that God has given you to operate in. Often times we forget that taking care of our bodies is very very important and an essential part of your purpose. When you don’t have to worry about your health, you have more time to spread the Word of God or just to serve people and enjoy life. However, when you don’t take care of yourself you’re not confident in how you look, you may even lack confidence in your gifting, you’ll lack energy, and you place on yourself unnecessary struggles. I did a lot of research a while back on diets, health, the food industry, and just how to take care of myself. One day I came across an awesome documentary on Netflix called Hungry for Change. It’s also on youtube to watch for $2.99 for those who don’t have Netflix. It opened my eyes in a real way to things I physically felt, have watched, and knew were going on but just didn’t want to admit. I encourage you all to take a look but remember, once you know better it is your responsibility to do better. It’s an extremely hard concept because it goes against what we are naturally inclined to do. I promise you though, you are a lot better off having discipline and wisdom to know that everything you may want, may not be what’s good for you.
I am on my journey to healthy living with you all as well. It hasn’t been easy, it’s been a fight, but I am choosing to live a life I’ll thank myself for later. Let’s do this together!
This morning I am sharing an awesome teaching from Johnny Ova who is the founder of Sound of Heaven Church in Deer Park, NY. I am so thankful and blessed to be part of such an amazing group of people and under an amazing set of leaders. I am constantly being stretched and I am constantly learning. As a result, I am constantly seeing the fruit of the daily application of those teachings. This particular teaching is from a Wednesday night bible training about a week ago that was amazing and truly blessed me! I know this will bless you all as well, enjoy!
“Let go of your sense of perfection and embrace His identification”
~Rachel Slionski
I encourage you all today to allow God to unveil your true self to you. Let’s remove our idea of perfection and society’s view of perfection. Today we commit to seeing ourselves the way God sees us. Let’s come into agreement with who God has called us to be. You have been placed here for a tremendous purpose and all God wants to do is show you what it is and help you walk in it. Don’t be afraid of how powerful and awesome God has made you, He has equipped you with all you need to fulfill your purpose and destiny. Don’t second guess it.
“In any given moment we have two options: To step forward into growth or to step back into safety.”
~Abraham Maslow
Today, we choose growth. Today, we choose to stretch ourselves beyond the norm. Today, we choose a path less traveled but a path of tremendous reward. Today, BELIEVE in yourself. Today, TRUST in God. Today, GO AFTER ALL God has for you. Today, SEEK GOD like you never have before. TODAY WE DOMINATE AND TODAY WE CHOOSE TO KEEP PRESSING FORWARD.
I am here to share some very important information. I have spent most of my life wanting to be wealthy and prosperous but not knowing exactly how to get there. I thank God that I have never gone hungry, homeless, or completely without. There have definitely been some seriously hard times, but it was nothing that my family could not handle. The reality was I was sick and tired of just getting by or just having enough, I wanted to be wealthy. I started to make significantly more money during my last year or so of college but unfortunately, since my mindset was that of lack or poverty, I squandered the money I was earning and put myself into a lot of credit card debt being able to finally “get what I wanted”. Fast forward to a couple of years later, I am wiser, my relationship with God has drastically deepened, and I am working towards getting married and having a family of my own. There just seems to be one problem, I’m still trying to get myself out of the hole I created for myself two years ago.
Now at this point, I can throw myself a good ole pity party and just work myself into a coma trying to pay off debt…I’M NOT DOING THAT! God has been too good and has shown that He can restore not only my mind, soul, body, and spirit but that He can change my situation. I have been put in a position where I had to start making conscious decisions to go after the abundance God has already destined for me to have. I have to know it’s there for me to have and fight for it. If I can be honest, I am so glad that the money I so desperately wanted at a certain time in my life never came to me. I know that because I had the wrong perspective when it came to money (I had a poverty mindset, and I lacked financial knowledge and discipline) the money would have changed me and caused me to put myself in an even worse situation than I was already in. Now that I am taking my future a lot more serious, I have taken the time to make sure my heart and my mind are in the right place to receive the abundance that is mine.
God had to take through an interesting journey to get my heart in check. First, I left my job of four years to try something new that promised to pay a lot more. However, when I started to make significantly more money, I worked such long hours I hardly saw anyone I loved or went to church. Then I got a position back where I started which paid me pretty well but I was miserable! Then it happened, during a full week at my church where we had worship every night, I sought God harder than I ever had before. It wasn’t until that Sunday that God spoke so clearly and said my last day at my current job was June 15, 2018. Being in a place where I could finally put my faith to the test, I did. It was the best move I had ever made. God took me on a journey of trusting Him like I never have before. I found so much joy and peace in a time (of about 3 months) where I had no job and no secure means of paying my bills. I can’t help but be reminded of the worship song that got me through that time, I’ll post it for you all below. This song really showed me that the journey with God is not an easy one, but it’s more than worth it.
Now after getting my spiritual life in order to prepare for my abundance, I had to get some knowledge from those who have obtained the wealth that I want. I was surprised to see that some of the most effective methods and formulas for gaining an abundance of wealth had more to do with your mental and spiritual state than anything else! My God! God is truly preparing me for an abundance that is more than I could ever dream of. In this next video I am sharing with you all, Bob Proctor gives some amazing insight on how to gain wealth by first changing your mind. If you don’t tackle that first, you’ll never be ready when the money gets to you and you will more than likely lose it or misuse it. One of the quotes from this video is “being broke is a temporary situation, being poor is a mental condition.” How powerful is that! Just because you may be broke for a time, if your mindset is correct, money will surely come back to you in a short period of time. He also says that the cause of poverty is poverty consciousness which goes back to the biblical principle that says “as a man thinketh, so is he”. We have to be mindful of how we think about money, ourselves, and God. You may not have the more you want simply because you don’t think it’s possible, or because you don’t think you deserve it. That’s a complete LIE! I challenge you all to read and see what God, our marvelous Creator, says about who you are and the abundant life He has for you. Then I challenge you to listen to this video below, really take time to hear and listen. After you’ve done that, apply the biblical truth, coupled with the helpful knowledge from those who have acquired wealth, and watch your life change. The change has to begin in YOU, but once that starts taking place you are going to become a magnet for money, blessings, and abundance. You have got to have faith in God, faith in His word, and the discipline to keep your mind on the things of God and all that He has for you. Don’t allow your current situation to be a distraction. You’ve got this because God’s got you! Abundance is your portion and has always been, you just have to do what is necessary to get your hands on it.
